You really cannot beat the location. The Luta, Mamba, and Christo is right next door for food, or you can eat in the hotel restaurant. It's right in town, but you can also walk 10 minutes across the river and literally be in the Toraja mountains. I got a room for per night. This full service hotel is reasonable for that price, but I wouldnt pay anymore. The hot water runs best only in early morning and night. There's no AC, but it's not really necessary in Toraja. The breakfast is skimpy, but decent. The staff were very helpful. I even rented a motorbike from one of the staff for for the day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Rent a motorbike and go up Batutumongo. You will see some scenery that words cannot even describe.

The room was big and generally well-appointed, but showing signs of age. It had an A/C unit which was not on the Agoda profile. The rooms lack basic things such as coffee/tea making , fridge, and facial tissues. The staff are very helpful - I had a fall in Macassar and needed medical treatment when I arrived in Rantepao - they provided me with a car and driver who could act as an interpreter. I received treatment in 2 hospitals and am now able to walk. Now that's good service. The live music can be a bit loud (not into karaoke) but the beer prices make up for that. The restaurant is good and competitive but the breakfast is below par. I would stay again and recommend to others. I enjoyed my stay here.
Hotel Feature Tip: They have a great sitting area around a central garden/water feature. You can eat or just relax here.

Office staff allowed me to check in early, at 8am, after arriving from Makassar on the overnight bus. They also allowed me to store my belongings in a locked room before the 8am check in - very accommodating. Friendly staff served a quick breakfast so I could begin exploring early. I wanted to stay for an additional night, but the hotel would not allow me to book online for another night and although they had rooms available online and in actuality, they were a bit confused that I wanted to stay another night. I actually had to move next door to the luxury Luta Resort for my remaining nights of the trip due to this inconvenience.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Rent a personal motorbike and really experience the Torajan landscape and ceremonies; speaking Indonesian, even if you only know a bit, is also very appreciated by the locals.
